We use the latest advanced Medical Grade Technology, have over 20 years of medical experience and more than 15 years of hands of aesthetic experience. Our treatments are low risk, and our patients' result are guaranteed and long lasting.
In our clinic we use 3 different methods of mesotherapy:
1. Injecting - mesotherapy (for deeper skin layers)
2. Dermapen - microneedling mesotherapy (for any layers of the skin)
3. Injecting - bio-revitalisation mesotherapy (for top layer of the skin)
What is Mesotherapy?
Facial mesotherapy is a safe, natural alternative to invasive surgical procedures. This method uses either a special needle or a device called DERMAPEN to deliver complexion-brightening vitamins four to six millimetres below the epidermis into the mesoderm of the skin.
What product do we use?
At our clinic we use a range of REVITACARE products that contain both hyaluronic acid and a rejuvenating vitamin complex. Together they stimulate the surface and deeper layers of the skin. This therapy not only reduces and corrects the signs of skin ageing but also helps prevent the skin from further de-hydration and sagginess. Hyaluronic acid plays a key role in maintaining the volume and hydration of the skin by lubricating elastic fibres. However, environment pollution and age cause the hyaluronic acid in the skin to decrease. As a result, the skin loses its ability to stay hydrated and starts to look dry and rough. The decline of hyaluronic acid also increases sensitivity in the skin.
Mesotherapy is a unique anti-aging treatment that involves numerous tiny injections during the procedure. Each injection delivers a high dose of hyaluronic acid and vitamins into your skin. The depth of injecting depends on many factors, including the area that is being treated, the extent of lines and wrinkles, and age and quality of the skin. The injection of hyaluronic acid triggers the regeneration of collagen and increases skin hydration. Additionally, the procedure stimulates the skin to produce its own hyaluronic acid.
The procedure is well-known in South America and Eastern Europe but was initially imported from Russia, where some women undergo the procedure on a monthly basis.
What is the difference between Mesotherapy and Bio-revitalisation?
The main difference between these methods is the depth of injecting the product. You will find a thorough explanation on THIS PAGE.
The method of microneedling is an advanced alternative to the old dermaroller treatment for a number of reasons. Firstly, DERMAPEN® method incorporates science of Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT). Secondly, the vertical stamping method of microneedling has the lowest risk, and is the most effective way of stimulating and inducing the growth of new skin. Thirdly, microneedling stimulates the deeper skin layers quickly and painlessly while keeping the epidermis intact. And finally, downtime is minimal and the skin will be back to normal in about 2-3 days.
Why Do I need more than one treatment?
The number of sessions depends on the quality of the skin and the patient's age. Typically, we recommend a course of 3-4 treatments 4 weeks apart with maintenance session every 6 months thereafter. The difference in skin texture and volume can be seen fairly quickly following this therapy.
We strongly believe that having Mesotherapy weekly will not achieve a desirable effect because there will not be enough time for natural collagen to develop and for your skin to rehabilitate.
What will the treatment do for me?
Mesotherapy is most beneficial for people with initial signs of ageing and/or dehydrated skin. Administering hyaluronic acid into the dermis layer promotes blood microcirculation and absorption of nutrient in the skin. It also restores normal metabolism that plays an important role in reducing wrinkle, thus improving your appearance and protecting your skin.
After treatment, patients commonly describe their skin as looking firmer, radiant and rested. For even better results, mesotherapy can supplement many anti-ageing regimes, including botox, laser rejuvenation, peels, antioxidants and topical creams. Microneedling by Dermapen is also one of our favourites for reducing size of pores and skin sagginess.
Is the result immediate?
No. You will notice some improvement of your skin texture a few days after the first treatment. However, you will need at least three treatments (4 weeks apart) to see a significant difference. For a long lasting result, maintenance treatments are necessary once every six month.
Is the treatment painful?
The medical practitioner will apply a topic anaesthetic cream prior to the treatment. This will help minimise any discomfort during the treatment.
Contraindications for mesotherapy:
Allergy, uncontrolled diabetes, pregnancy and breast-feeding, inflammation of the skin, bad skin injections, usage of anticoagulants, active herpes, cancer, rosacea.
Do I need a consultation?
Having familiarising yourself with therapies on this page, it is important to book a face-to-face consultation before going ahead with your treatment. After the consultation, you will not be hustled or pushed into buying anything. The only purpose of our consultation is for our practitioner to provide the necessary information and build your understanding of the treatment and the technology we use.
You can choose to go ahead with the treatments or have a cooling off period following the consultation.
We do not treat children under the age of sixteen. Older children can have these treatment at the Laserina Clinic only with a referral from their GP.
