We specialise in Sun Damage and Anti-ageing treatments.

In 2020, our clinic celebrated its 15th anniversary and all this time we've been successfully treating sun damaged and ageing skin on the face and body.

Many people nowadays suffer from sun damaged skin, which can present itself in many forms. The most common signs of sun damage are wrinkles and fine lines. However, these can be accompanied by dry and rough skin, mottled skin tone, areas of abnormal pigmentation, vascular irregularities, loss of elasticity and volume. The good news is that these conditions are treatable. Even better news - it does not involve surgery or injections.

Are ageing and sun damage treatable?

Yes, but it is much easier to prevent rather than treat premature ageing and damage by sun rays by wearing a sufficient sun protection cream. At our clinic, we recommend and use ourselves Lynton Light ProtectSPF 50+  — a unique product formulated and supplied by the largest laser manufacture. As skin care professionals we have had access to many. Based on our personal and our customers' experience, it is the best product on the market.

When is the best time to start treating sun damage or ageing?

The best time to start any sun damage or anti-ageing treatment is late September when the majority of people have come back from their sunny holidays and start loosing their lovely sun tan revealing fresh or built-up sun damage. Another reason is that some of the treatments cannot be administered to skin recently exposed to sun.

What sun damage or anti-aging treatment do I need?

Sometime our customers come to us for a specific treatment because they've heard of it from a friend or seen it advertised. However, that treatment might not be the right solution for the issues they want to address. Meanwhile, other customers know what result they want but are not sure what treatments are even available. Below you will find a description of the majority of medical aesthetic treatments that we offer.

However, it is important to have a face-to-face consultation before deciding on therapy. The purpose of a consultation is to help a customer understand how treatments work and choose the right one.

What treatments are available?

Ultrasonic Deep Skin therapy

If the sun damage is minimal and the person is young, the first option would be Ultrasonic Deep Skin therapy combined with medical grade Glycolic Peeling

Typically, our patients complain of an excessive build-up of dead skin cells and clogged pores after their summer holidays. Deep Skin Therapy will help to reverse light sun damage by instant skin rejuvenation and deep exfoliation. Ultrasonic treatment is suitable for everyone.  However, people with oily and acne prone skin will benefit the most. Deep skin therapy kills bacteria, decreases the oiliness of the skin, unclogs pores, exfoliates dead skin cells and makes skin glow. This treatment is also advisable to those who suffer from Melasma (excessive pigmentation).

We recommend a course of 3 treatments one week apart.

Medical Grade Glycolic Peeling

This chemical Peeling is also known as Sugar Cane Peel, as it is extracted from raw cane sugar. It is a specific therapy for skin renewal and hyperpigmentation. The therapy is mainly designed to give one a fresh and youthful appearance. Leading dermatologists and plastic surgeons have long appreciated the positive results of this treatment. It is ideal for dealing with and reducing skin sun damage, fine lines, dull skin tone, enlarged pores and hyperpigmentation including Melasma.

The treatment is quick and painless. Downtime is minimal, lasting from a few hours to 1-2 days. The duration of a course will depend on how much sun damage a patient has and, therefore, on the strength of the peel needed to treat it. Typically, the initial course would consist of 4 - 6 treatments one week apart.

The method of microneedling is an advanced alternative to the old dermaroller treatment for a number of reasons. Firstly, DERMAPEN® method incorporates science of Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT). Secondly, the vertical stamping method of microneedling has the lowest risk, and is the most effective way of stimulating and inducing the growth of new skin. Thirdly, microneedling stimulates the deeper skin layers quickly and painlessly while keeping the epidermis intact. And finally, downtime is minimal and the skin will be back to normal in about 2-3 days.

The number of sessions depends on the quality of the skin and the patient's age. Typically, we recommend a course of 2-4 treatments 4 weeks apart. The difference in skin texture and volume can be seen fairly quickly following this therapy. Microneedling is also one of our favourites for reducing size of pores and skin sagginess.

We combine Vitamin MESOTHERAPY  with the REVITACARE cocktail of vitamins and hyaluronic acid. Together they stimulate the surface and deeper layers of the skin. This therapy not only reduces and corrects the signs of skin ageing but also helps prevent the skin from further de-hydration and sagginess. Hyaluronic acid plays an important role in maintaining the volume and hydration of the skin by lubricating elastic fibres.

Dracula PRP

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), also known as the Vampire Face Lift, is a proven anti-ageing method of skin regeneration that leads to exciting results. PRP appeals to people looking for a more natural approach to facial rejuvenation. This therapy is safe because it uses your own blood's plasma that is reach in platelets. The platelets contain Growth Factors that stimulate collagen production and healing in several facial tissues.

Because the product won't be rejected by your body, there are no risks of infection, asymmetry, lumps or allergies. Additionally, this amazing method allows several areas of the body to be treated at the same time.

Only one treatment is required per year for younger patients, while people in their 50th and older are advised two treatments per year. For best results, we recommend combining the PRP with Dermapen and/or laser therapy.

IPL rejuvenation for sun damage and ageing

The light assisted methods of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a proven low risk and effective therapy, with short downtime. It delivers excellent and long lasting results. Photo-rejuvenation is one of IPL treatments offered at our clinic. It is most suitable for improving skin texture. The treatment will target melanin in the skin, reduce appearance of broken capillaries.

This therapy improves both the firmness and overall texture of the skin by inducing fibroblast activity that in tern stimulates growth of new collagen and elastin improving volume, fine lines and wrinkles. It also tightens the skin, reduces the size of pores and gives the skin a glowing appearance and a gentle natural uplift. IPL Photo-rejuvenation can be easily combined with Pigmentation Removal and/or Vessels Removal to treat multiple conditions at once, if necessary.

Fractional Laser resurfacing for sun damage and ageing

Fractional laser resurfacing is the ultimate anti-ageing and sun damage treatment. It delivers more advanced results than the other options described above. For example, unlike IPL it provides total rejuvenation for all skin layers. It is an all-in-one method that is equivalent to any combination of treatments such as Plasma Pen, IPL, Microneedling and Radio Frequency. Following Fraction laser resurfacing, your skin will become significantly tighter, smoother, and gain a more youthful and radiant appearance. The change will be impossible not to notice. Individuals looking to improve acne scarring or stretch marks will benefit the most.

Anti-wrinkle therapy

Botulinum Toxin A is a prescription only medical treatment (POM). It is intended for a temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe wrinkles but can also help with migraine and excessive sweating. The aim of the treatment is to significantly reduce the movement of muscles causing expression lines (dynamic lines), specifically those causing the frown, crow’s feet and worry lines above the brows.

Dynamic Dermal Fillers

With age, your face loses deep fat deposits, bone support, collagen and hydration. Natural lines and wrinkles deepen. In the most severe cases, when facial volume has been lost we will recommend dynamic Facial Fillers. Based on Hyaluronic acid, dermal fillers will offer substantial improvement to facial volume.

We do not just improve lines at our clinic.  We aim to treat your face as a whole rather than fill individual deep wrinkles. Using a precise cannula technique, we restore our patients' natural younger look. Your treatment will be a journey of inspiration and artistic vision.

Usually 1-2 treatments are required on any area or part of the face. It takes 4-6 weeks for the filler to fully integrate with the tissue but some result can be seen immediately.

Double chin as a sign of ageing

Many people find a double chin unattractive and seek to eliminate it. A double chin is one of the first signs of ageing and consists of subcutaneous fat, also known as submental fat, situated under the chin. This is offered caused by genetics, muscle structure or loose skin. We offer treatments alternative to surgical methods that are low risk and effective at eliminating unwanted submental fat.

Fat dissolving injections for double chin

This is another non-surgical treatment that offers an alternative solution for people who wish to have trimmer and more defined chin. Excess fat in stubborn areas can be an issue for many individuals, despite exercise and a good life style.

The method we offer is ideal for those with a mild to moderate amount of fat under the chin. Using a precise technique, the medical practitioner is able to target this area to break down the fatty deposits. However, Fat Dissolving injections are not an alternative to diet and exercise. Unfortunately, if you gain weight, your double chin may reappear. Therefore, this treatment is recommended to people with stable weight and healthy life style.

The treatment is quick. Downtime usually lasts for 5-7 days. One treatment is not enough and a course of at least 2-3 treatments will be required 6 weeks part.

Ultrasonic Liposuction for double chin

Advanced Ultrasonic LIPOSUCTION is a non-invasive procedure. You will avoid general anaesthesia and consequences of surgery, such as scarring, pain and overall health risks. Plus, the slimming results will be as good as those after surgical liposuction. There is no downtime and you can return to work immediately.

Ultrasonic liposuction uses high-pitched ultrasonic and radio frequency waves to liquefy fat in specific areas. Your lymphatic system can then flash it out of your body. As fat is broken down by ultrasound (rather than being mechanically disrupted as with traditional surgical liposuction), the chin area will be sculpted much more evenly.

We recommend at least 6 sessions one week apart.

What happens after the consultation?

Having familiarising yourself with therapies on this page, it is important to book a face-to-face consultation before going ahead with your treatment. After the consultation, you will not be hustled or pushed into buying anything. The only purpose of our consultation is for our practitioner to provide the necessary information and build your understanding of the treatment and the technology we use.

You can choose to go ahead with the treatments or have a cooling off period following the consultation.

We do not treat children under the age of sixteen. Older children can have these treatment at the Laserina Clinic only with a referral from their GP
